Crossroads Customs is a small shop in St. Paul, Nebraska that builds cigar box guitars and amps. We strive to keep our guitars authentic, just as they were in the old south. Each one of our instruments is constructed from only the finest cigar boxes available, made from Spanish Cedar, resulting in a rich full sound. Every neck is handmade for a perfect fit. Clear Red Oak, Mahogany, Birch, Beech, Hickory, and Purple Heart are just a few of the over thirty types of exotic woods available. We choose the type of wood that best compliments each box and since each guitar is handmade, no two will ever look or sound exactly the same. That's one of the qualities that set us apart from the herd.
These are not your same old cookie cutter guitars produced in Indonesia off a gigantic assembly line. If that's what you're after, you're barking up the wrong tree. Our three and four string guitars are fretless and made to be played with a slide to get that Old Delta Blues sound. We also make electric versions on all of our guitars that will growl just like the devil's hellhound. Our guitars start at $150 for the acoustic models and $175 for the electric. Each guitar comes with strap buttons, a handmade bottle glass slide and a pick.
